BTS and Bazi

 

BTS is not just some random letters strung together, instead, their full name is Bangtan Sonyeondan, which when translated to English, means Bulletproof Boy Scouts.

BTS is a seven-member South Korean boy band that was formed in 2010 and debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. The septet – composed of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – co-writes and co-produces much of their own output. Originally a hip-hop group, their musical style has evolved to include a wide range of genres. Their lyrics, often focused on personal and social commentary, touch on the themes of mental health, troubles of school-age youth and coming of age, loss, the journey towards loving oneself, and individualism.

The group’s second Korean studio album, Wings (2016), was their first to sell one million copies in South Korea.

By 2017, BTS crossed into the global music market, leading the Korean wave into the United States and breaking numerous sales records. They became the first Korean group to receive a certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for their single “Mic Drop”, as well as the first Korean act to top the US Billboard 200 chart with their studio album “Love Yourself: Tear” (2018).

In 2020, BTS became the first all-South Korean act to reach number one on the Billboard Global 200 and US Billboard Hot 100 with their Grammy-nominated single “Dynamite” and other hit songs made BTS the fastest act to accumulate five US number-one singles since Michael Jackson.

Based on the individual Bazi charts of the members of the BTS band, I have summarized my findings below.

A group of singers coming together to form a band to perform is like a business venture. The objective of the band is to make profits and become famous.  The fortune of the band will depend on the luck pillar the members are going through, if the majority of members are going through their favorable luck pillars then the fortune of the band will be good.

The BTS band became a phenomenal success due to their members’ talents, right timing, and good luck due to their current favorable luck pillars. BTS became very successful and famous from 2016 until now and will continue to be successful for many years to come.

The majority of their members are going through their favorable luck pillar or luck pillar of wealth. All the members of the band have wealth stars in their chart and some are going through their luck pillar of wealth. Although two of the members are not going through their favorable luck periods they are mitigated by five other members who are going through favorable luck pillars which helped to boost up the overall luck of the BTS band.

Many of them have EG and HO stars to give them the creativity and talents to sing, dance, write and produce songs. I also noted the majority of them have Sky Horse stars like Tiger, Snake, Monkey, and Pig in their natal chart or in their luck pillar. Sky Horse stars or traveling stars are also associated with online or social media. BTS traveled extensively to many countries to perform and became insanely famous by using social media platforms to connect with their fans. BTS did it differently from other boy band groups in Korea because they used social media and relied on their global fans all over the world rather than focusing on television appearances for just fans based in Korea. The band also has full control of their social media and they often live-streamed their practices and interacted directly with their fanbase, now called the Army. Many of the members of BTS also have many Peach Blossom stars and Friend/Rob Wealth stars which explained why they have so many raving fans worldwide.

Most boy band groups in Korea rely on TV for popularity, so when they were traveling or visiting other countries for concerts, they would lose out on the publicity they can potentially get if they were on Korean TV. To remain relevant, available, and visible, K-Pop stars had to be in the country and not tour as much.

All the members of BTS have clarity of their thoughts and actions. This can be seen as the year or month or day pillars in their members’ chart are well supported by their heaven and branch earth elements. All members of the band must have clarity in their goals and actions to be successful as a group.

Jin’s Bazi chart & Luck Pillar (LP)

Kim Seok-jin (born December 4, 1992), also known by his stage name Jin, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and member of the South Korean boy band BTS since June 2013.

Jin is a strong day master of Yang Wood. He is currently in his luck pillar of Friend or Wood-Tiger which is not his favorable element. The Tiger in his luck pillar activated the clash with Monkey in his year pillar. Monkey in the year pillar is his personal Sky Horse or traveling star. He has traveled overseas extensively to perform at BTS concerts and use social media during the current luck pillar. Min Yoon-gi (born March 9, 1993), better known by his stage name Suga, is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, record producer, and member of the South Korean boy band BTS.

Suga is a weak day master of Yin Earth. He is currently in the luck pillar of Direct Wealth (DW) or Water Rat. The wealth luck pillar is always considered a favorable period. His wealth grew during the luck pillar as BTS had many hit songs. He also has 2 generic Peach Blossom stars of Rabbit and Rooster in his natal chart and another generic peach blossom star of Rat in his current luck pillar which made him very attractive to his fans. J-Hope is a strong day master of Yin Wood. He is currently in the luck pillar of Indirect Wealth (IW) or Earth-Snake which is his favorable luck pillar. Snake is also his Sky Horse star is in his current luck pillar which explained his extensive overseas performance tours and concerts. Kim Nam-joon (born September 12, 1994), better known by his stage name RM, is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He is the leader of the South Korean boy band BTS.

RM is a strong day master of Yin Metal. He is currently in his favorable luck pillar of Indirect Wealth (IW) or Wood-Pig. He also has a DW star in his year pillar. He is likely to become very rich in the current luck pillar. Pig in his luck pillar is his personal Sky Horse star. He has traveled overseas extensively to perform at BTS concerts. He is a weak day master of Yin Fire. He is currently in his unfavorable luck pillar of Water-Goat or 7k. However, Goat in his luck pillar clashed with Ox in his day pillar to release IW, EG, and 7k which represent his wealth, creativity, and fame respectively.
