Destiny chart of Loh Kean Yew, the BWF World Champion for 2021
Penang-born Loh Kean Yew became the first Singaporean to win a BWF World Championships title in Huelva, Spain on December 19, 2021. He defeated India’s Kidambi Srikanth 21-15, 22-20 in a thrilling men’s singles final that lasted 43 minutes. In fact, Kean Yew was ranked 22 in the world and Kidambi 14. He is an unknown badminton player to the world before he won the BWF World Championships title and will be totally different from now on as he is Singapore’s latest hero – just as Joseph Schooling was after beating his idol and legend, Micheal Phelps, for the 100m butterfly gold medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
When he was young Kean Yew was offered a full scholarship to study in the Singapore Sports School. He is not from a rich family so he seized the golden opportunity to go to Singapore. It was not easy for him as he had to study as well as play badminton and was about 12 or 13 years old then. After completing four years of secondary education, Kean Yew then went to study at Republic Polytechnic. But after two years, he decided to quit and instead, become a full-time badminton player.
Let us analyze the destiny chart of Loh Kean Yew, the BWF World Champion for 2021.
His destiny or Bazi chart, current luck pillar, and year pillar of 2021 are shown below. Please print your Bazi Chart here.
He was born at the peak of the summer season when the fire is the most prosperous. His day master of Yin Earth is considered as strong as fire will produce earth in the 5-element productive cycle. His favorable element is metal, water, and wood. Fire his resource is considered excessively strong in his chart. Water is important as it is needed to regulate the hot temperature in the summer month in his chart. Water can be considered as his lucky element. Metal represents his output or performance, water his wealth, and wood his fame and popularity are his favorable elements.
He has a bonus star called Heavenly Virtue Noble (HVN) in his Pig Yin Water day pillar. For an HVN to exert a maximum effect on a person’s life it should ideally be found or located in the day pillar, bingo for Kean Yew’s as his HVN is right in the day pillar. The presence of the HVN indicates forthcoming help or support especially in times of need from noblemen.
His chart also has a pure Yang Fire in the month pillar that indicates that there is a synchronicity of heart and mind in whatever he does especially in his badminton career which is the hallmark of a successful man.
The BWF World Championships tournament took place in the Rat month from 12 to 19 December 2021. Rat containing strong water is one of his noble people’s animal signs. Rat in the month of the tournament formed a full seasonal winter combination with Pig in his day pillar and Ox in his year pillar and in 2021 to produce more water in his chart. Rat in the month of the tournament combined with the Dragon in his current luck pillar under the 3-harmony combination to produce more water. The Yin Metal in the heaven stem of the year 2021 combined with Yang Fire in the heaven stem of the month pillar to produce even more water. The presence of the HVN star in his day pillar of Water Pig also indicates that the lucky owner is easier to gain favors from heaven as water is his lucky element.
In the semi-final on December 18 (a metal-water Rat day), Kean Yew defeated the third seed, Denmark’s Anders Antonsen (world no. 3) 23–21, 21–14 to qualify for the finals. After the semi-final match, Loh’s right ankle injury had deteriorated to the point that he could not walk and required a wheelchair. He later said that his physiotherapist worked on his foot from 10.30 pm to 1.30 am to ensure that he could walk again. His physiotherapist can be considered as his nobleman, if not for him, Kean Yew would not be able to play in the final and win the championship. Rat is one of his noble people stars and it is no coincidence that his noble people appeared in the month and day of the Rat.
In the final on December 19 (a metal-water Ox day), he further made Singaporean history by winning the 2021 BWF World Championships, defeating the twelfth seed, India’s Srikanth Kidambi (world no. 14). His great badminton skills and the abundance flow of his favorable water generated from the seasonal water combinations of Rat-Pig-Ox, Rat month, water day of the semi-final, final, and his water HVN star smoothen his passage to win the BWF World Championships title for 2021.
Although water is his wealth element he did not win any prize money for his victory instead he was rewarded a sum of S$200,000 (US$148,678) by an Indonesian-Chinese tycoon who is his ardent fan for winning the BWF World Championships, hoping the cash would motivate him to realize his Olympic gold medal dream. Kean Yew’s fans in Singapore also raised more than S$130,000 (US$95,700) for him after they learned he did not win any prize money for his victory. His HVN star is obviously at play to bless him with wealth and fame.
His Bazi chart has a Yang Fire and Yin Fire in the heavenly stem of the month and year pillar respectively, and a Horse in the earthly branch of the month pillar, classified as the Li Gua or Phoenix formation that is in compliance with the Bazi of Period 9. Period 9 is represented by the Li Gua hexagram. Li Gua represents Fire and is in the south sector/direction. Currently, we are currently in Fengshui Period 8 (from 2004 to 2023) and will be transiting to Period 9 from 2024 to 2043. The energy from period 9 is now slowly coming in and will fully come into force after February 4, 2024. I believe that he will continue to be a badminton force to be reckoned with in Period 9 and will win many badminton championships.
