Squid Game was released worldwide on September 17, 2021, to critical acclaim and international attention.

The story is about Seong Gi-hun, a divorced father and indebted gambler who is invited to play a series of children’s games for a chance to get a large cash prize. Lee Jung-Jae played Seong Gi-hun, a divorced father and gambling addict. Lee gained widespread international stardom and fame for his portrayal of Seong Gi-hun in Netflix’s survival drama Squid Game.
