Bazi explanation: Why Lionel Messi left Barcelona?

Messi has spent over two decades at Barcelona and is the most decorated player in the club. Since making his senior debut in 2003, Messi has played 778 games and scored 672 goals for his club Barcelona. His club wanted to extend his 34-year-old’s contract by two years, but LaLiga’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules prevented it. As per the rules, Barcelona’s wage-to-turnover percentage has to be 70 percent. He claimed he wanted to stay at the club and had even accepted a 50 percent salary cut to sign a new contract.

On 1 July, Messi became a free agent after his contract expired, with negotiations on a new deal complicated due to financial issues at Barcelona. On 5 August, Barcelona announced that Messi would not be staying at the club. The club cited financial and structural obstacles posed by La Liga regulations as a reason for Messi’s departure. On 10 August, Messi joined the French club Paris Saint- Germain.

Ox in 2021 also came to “harm” the Horse. Harm is emotional in nature like a betrayal or being let down by somebody. In his case, it is Barcelona as they could not renew his contract despite he has spent over 2 decades with his club. Rabbit from his luck pillar also “harm” the Dragon in his day pillar. He felt like being betrayed by his club as he had no choice but to relocate to another country to play for another club.
