How to tell whether a person is flexible and adaptable?

According to Bruce Lee, life is in constant change, and unless we learn to be flexible and adaptable, we’re bound to meet resistance. Bruce Lee likened the person who has learned to embrace change to water.

One of my favorite Bruce Lee quotes is “Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless – like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”

I find this water metaphor highly relevant in the present and future challenging world.
