How to manage office politics and backstabbing?

When there are more than three persons working in an office there bound to have politics and backstabbing problems. Office politics and backstabbing can cause stress, tension, worries, trauma, and create some obstacles in achieving what you want to do.

How do you manage the problem?

There are three options to deal with office politics and backstabbers without feeling victimized, stressed, and unhappy.

1. Deal with trouble makers directly and call them out when they create trouble by aligning with someone who is in a stronger position and getting their help.

2. Try to change the change to benefit you by influencing the key decision-makers and stakeholders. Get the ears of the key people and solve their problems or accept their challenges and in lieu ask for help to deal with your troubles.

3. Leave the toxic environment. There is only so much you can do in a hostile politically charged environment. If you don’t feel like you can handle it and everything you have tried doesn’t work then get out and find a better place to work. Don’t ever let anyone victimize you.

I can offer you an alternative solution by using Fengshui to manage the problem.

First, you need to plot the Bazi Chart of your backstabbers and find out what are their favorable directions. Second, you need the layout or floor plan of your office.

For example, Peter and Mary are colleagues, Peter knows that Mary always plays politics and backstabbed him many times at work and due to this he has been bypassed for his promotion. If he consults you on how to manage politics and backstabbing from his colleague Mary, how are you going to advise him? You can plot the Bazi Chart of Mary and her favorable directions as shown below.

He manages to get a copy of his office plan for you. Based on his office plan, you can advise him to sit in Mary’s Yan Nian sector which is in the South sector of the office as Yan Nian star is a likability and relationship star so that she would stop backstabbing him and later gradually support him in his work. Peter should find out where is the South sector which is the Yan Nian sector of Mary in his office and relocate there. If he cannot relocate to the South sector due to certain reasons, then he should sit to face his own Yan Nian direction in his office. If you ask me which is better?
