When is the best time to change career?

Normally January to April is the best time of the year to change career, especially after you have got your increments, incentives, and bonuses. Companies usually get their new hiring budgets for the year in January. So they will have many vacancies that need to be filled, and you can come in and fill it! However, sometimes due to external forces which impacted your career like your company is downsizing or undergoing restructuring, you have no choice but to look for another job. Change in career can also be internally in the same company as in different job role and department.

I have received many inquiries from readers of my blog asking when they can change career-based on their Bazi chart. I have 2 real-life cases to share with you-Mr Sean and Chan.

When there is an external animal sign coming from the Annual Year Pillar or Luck Pillar to clash with the animal sign in your month pillar in your natal chart, there will be likely changes in your career.  The month pillar represents your career.  Clash means changes. Below is the table for six clashes of animals.

Mr. Sean was the business development manager of a bank in 2018. He consulted me in early 2019 on whether he should change his career. I told him that he would change his career this year.

As can be seen from the above, Pig in 2019 comes from externally to clash with the two Snakes in his Month and Year Pillar in his natal chart. The month pillar represents his career. The year pillar represents his market. Clash means changes. The double clashes in the Month and Year Pillar speed up the process of change. As a result of the clashes, he has changed his career to be a Team Leader this year.

I have another similar case. Mr. Chan consulted me whether he could change his career in early 2019. I told him yes.

Similarly, Pig came in from externally in 2019 to double clash with the Snake in his month and hour pillar. He changed his career this year.

When you know changes are coming to affect your job, it is advisable to proactively to look for a change in the company externally or internally within your company like change in job role, change of boss, change of department, etc. If you do not proactively change your career your boss will do the change for you which you may not like it as you do not have the options to choose. Some people do not like change and consider it unpleasant. Changes may be painful initially, messy in the middle but will be rewarding in the end. Clash can also mean your breakthrough period to do something new.

Next Year is the Year of Metal Rat. If you have a Horse in your month pillar in your Bazi Chart, be prepared because changes in your career are coming in 2020.
